Adaptive Instruction

As an educator, I strive to build positive relationships with my students and work toward learning goals in ways that meet their needs.
In addition to a unique set of interests and motivators, each learner possesses a catalogue of skills and challenges that are individual to that person.

We expect our students to be artists in the art classroom, but in order to create their personal masterpieces, we have to provide them with the correct tools.
Tools can be physical elements such as clean up cards for students who need written instructions, or headsets for students who have trouble focusing around classroom chatter.
Tools can also be found in teaching methods, instructional techniques, visual and auditory supplements to lessons, classroom routines, and any other aid that a teacher can provide to assist in better student learning. I strive to use a variety of these methods in my daily teaching routines.
