Adapt Your Thinking​.

As an artist, both in painting as well as sculpture I use artmaking as a tool for reflection.  I reflect on past life experiences, thoughts, as well as questions or comments about my environment.  My artwork serves as a vessel for an idea, holding a meaning or posing a question to the viewer.  

 

Texture is crucial to my work.  Not only do I aim to convey texture in the look of my artwork, but the literal touch.  I encourage viewers to interact with my work in a tactile way.  SImilar the challenge I pose to my students,  I aspire to learn thorough the process of creation, not always clear of what the final product will be.
