Adapt Your Thinking​.

Instead of the traditional method of batik using hot wax, dye, and irons, I decided that our class would try safer and less time consuming avenue.  

We used Elmer's Gel Glue as a replacement for wax and watered down acrylics in place of dye.  

 

Students learned about pattern and balance in this project, and loved using old art supplies in a new way!
