Watercolor Weaving

WARM colors were a HOT topic in our classroom during our watercolor weaving adventure. Students learned about the difference between warm and cool colors and how to recognize each.
Students created one exploratory watercolor painting for cool colors and one for warm, experimenting with mixing colors and paper saturation.
Each painting was cut into strips for students to weave together to create one cohesive work, practicing coordination and self-evaluation to correct mistakes.
